About US
OUR MISSION
"Camarillo Old Town Association (COTA) was incorporated in 2009 and formed a volunteer and non-profit organization of business members and property owners in the Camarillo Old Town District. COTA’s mission is to improve economic vitality by encouraging a strong local economy, provide networking and promotional opportunities, promote our community, and represent the interest of our members with the City of Camarillo. COTA continually strives to enhance the Old Town District with events that highlight our vibrant, friendly, fun, cultural, and clean neighborhood. It also preserves the heart and soul of downtown while promoting local businesses, tourism, education, and community involvement."
These goals are met by:
-
Producing community events that draw visitors into the neighborhood,
-
Creating marketing materials, maintaining a website and social media presence that improve the image, appeal and visibility of the neighborhood in nearby communities,
-
Aligning with emerging efforts to promote Camarillo as a tourist destination,
-
Advocating for redevelopment of City owned vacant parcels,
-
Annual memberships, sponsorships and ticket sales from fee-based events provide funding for the Association.
